How do I use the ping command?
You may need to use the “ping” utility to diagnose connectivity or DNS issues if you are having problems browsing websites while connected to the VPN.
Windows
- Open the Start menu.
- Start typing
Command Prompt
. - Click
Command Prompt
. - Type
ping 1.1.1.1
(Replace 1.1.1.1 with the address you wish to ping).
macOS
- Open the
Applications
folder then gotoUtilities
. - Click the
Terminal
application. - Type
ping 1.1.1.1
(Replace 1.1.1.1 with the address you wish to ping).
Linux
- Open a new
Terminal window
. - Type
ping 1.1.1.1
(Replace 1.1.1.1 with the address you wish to ping).
